AC Cable nintendo wii

ive asked this before but im still unsure, will my wii work in the usa with a usa ac cable to power it. ive tried a cheapy cable from a game store but all it does it makes the screen appear to be flickering or a bit like it needs to have the tracking sorted. i dunno if i buy a offical nintendo ac power adapter that it will stop the flcikering, it happens on all the tvs i try. would it be the 3 prong lead that came with it that could be causing the probelm or the power supply.. In the US the elec is 110Volts, in the UK it's 220Volts So take your UK Wii with it's original adapters and cables, and buy from the US a converter. Usually found at airports (expensive) and usually at Walmart or RadioShack (very cheap) just ask them for a converter, bring the Wii UK adapter with you and they'll give you the right one

I purchased the wii from amazon.com and this is what it came with... Is there anything else i need to play...Like certain cables it didnt come with or something. I am getting the wii play with the extra controller and the charging station..This is really for my son and wife but i think i will like it too.

This kit is enough for one person to play at a time. But if you want to make it a family recreation once in a while, it would be good to have one (or two) extra Wii Remotes + Nunchuks. You can save some money by buying Wii Play which is now being shipped with a free Wii Remote (but no Nunchuk). Trust me, if you just have one remote and nunchuk, there will be a lot of people waiting behind you to play. One more thing, if you have a HD plasma or a widescreen LCD TV, you might require a convertor because Wii is not directly compatible with HDTVs Plus rechargeable batteries. Wii remotes are notorious to juice out the batteries. Happy Wiiing!!
